Committee Members Sheffrec C.C. is run by Elected Committee Members. For the 2008/09 season the following members were elected at the October 2008 AGM. Marc Etches - Club Secretary & Road Race Secretary secretary@sheffrec-cc.org.uk A Sheffrec Member since 1991. Marc took over as Club Secretary in 1999 and has taken membership from just 8 to over 85 members. Originally from a MTB backgound Marc, now a 2nd Cat road racer has won various off road races and more recently, Marc became one of only a handful of riders to win North Midlands Road Race League twice in two years. Organiser of the Monsal Hillclimb, Wombwell Youth League in the Summer months and along with the Open TT events throughout the year. Henry Foxhall - Event Secretary - Sportive & Audax A Sheffrec Member for over 5 years Henry is the Ironman of Sheffrec. 'H' combines running, swimming and cycling. Henry is super fit and has completed the Lanzarote Ironman. Henry deals with co-ordinating events and making sure the members know what's event is next on the calendar. Organiser of the Sheffrec Audax in 2010.events@sheffrec-cc.org.uk Daryl May - Event Secretary - Time Trials Daryl has been a member of Sheffrec for many years and is a very keen time trial rider. Daryl holds the club 25 mile TT record and has been one of the fastest riders in the club. Daryl has great skills in organising events and forms part of a great events team with Marc and Henry.timetrials@sheffrec-cc.org.uk Andrew Faulkner - Treasurer treasurer@sheffrec-cc.org.uk Andrew has been Club Treasurer for 6 years. A keen club cyclist who is always giving it 100%. Andy deals with all the Sheffrec financials and makes sure everyone has paid their subs!! Clive Marsden - Club Captain captain@sheffrec-cc.org.uk Clive is proud to be our cpatain of the 2008/09 season. Clive is the one that keeps us all on the straight and narrow. Rob Wormald - Chairman chairman@sheffrec-cc.org.uk Rob is the route master of the club. Famous for his 'loops' Rob knows every quiet lane and climb in the Peak District. Rob takes part in many Audax events and several sportives in the UK and abroad. Rob has just completed the Year Round Randonneur Award for completing 200km rides in 12 consecutive months. Simon Jackson - Social Secretary socials@sheffrec-cc.org.uk Simon or 'Jacko' is in charge of Sheffrec's main interest - enjoying ourselves! Simon takes pride in spreading the 'one love' ethos. Jacko himself is famous for his unique riding style which needs to be seen to be beleived.
