Cleethorpes Coast Ride
Saturday 10th July. Meet at Wicker at 7.00am.
160 flat miles to Cleethorpes via the rural lanes of Lincolnshire. Fish and chips, ice cream and return to Sheffield. Back up van following for spare kit/tools/food etc.

Captains Sunday
Sunday 11th July. 3.00pm onwards.
Celebrate the Summer with Clive, please bring some food and drink. The more the merrier.

Retro Day
Sunday 8th August, 9.00am at Malin Bridge.
Roll out the pink, purple and green lycra, the big shades and steel bike.

Tour of Strines
Sunday 12th September, 9.00am at Malin Bridge.
55 miles, 27 steep climbs all within Strines - not for the faint hearted!

Llangollen Weekender
September 24th – 26th.
Full weekend of riding in Wales. Travel out on Friday night, ride Saturday in the Welsh mountains, beers on Saturday night and ride out on the Cheshire lanes on Sunday. Return Sunday night. Back up van will be following on route.

Club Freewheeling Competition
17th October, 9.30am
Location 'Dead Man's Hill' near Dungworth.

Can Jacko successfully defend his 2008 and 2009 crown? A freewheel comp is basically how it reads. All riders have their cranks arms zip tied to prevent pedalling and are let free by the starter. The rider rolls off down the hill and the winner is the rider who gets the furthest distance. In this case down Dead Mans Hill and freewheel up Stopes towards Stannington. Riders can weave but all riders must not cross the white line, including the ‘S’ bend at the bottom of the hill. This caused controversy in 2008 so this year, we will have observers watching for anyone gaining an advantage!!
