Majorca Training Week
15th March. Pollenca.

Annual Charity Ride
Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th May. Meet at Wicker at 7.00am.

Cleethorpes Coast Ride
Saturday 7th July. Meet at Wicker at 7.00am.
160 flat miles to Cleethorpes via the rural lanes of Lincolnshire. Fish and chips, ice cream and return to Sheffield. Back up van following for spare kit/tools/food etc.

Captains Sunday
Sunday 8th July. 3.00pm onwards.
Celebrate the Summer with Neil, please bring some food and drink. The more the merrier.

Retro Day
Sunday 12th August, 9.00am at Malin Bridge.
Roll out the pink, purple and green lycra, the big shades and steel bike.

Tour of Strines
Sunday 16th September, 9.00am at Malin Bridge.
55 miles, 27 steep climbs all within Strines - not for the faint hearted!

End of Season Weekender - TBC.
September 23rd – 25th.
Full weekend of riding, return Sunday night. Back up van will be following on route.

82nd Monsal Hill Climb
October 7th, 11.00am

Club Freewheeling Competition
14th October, 9.30am
Location 'Dead Man's Hill' near Dungworth.

A freewheel comp is basically how it reads. All riders have their cranks arms zip tied to prevent pedalling and are let free by the starter. The rider rolls off down the hill and the winner is the rider who gets the furthest distance. In this case down Dead Mans Hill and freewheel up Stopes towards Stannington. Riders can weave but all riders must not cross the white line, including the ‘S’ bend at the bottom of the hill. This caused controversy in 2008 so this year, we will have observers watching for anyone gaining an advantage!!

Club AGM
Monday 1st October 7.30pm, Princess Royal.
All members please attend. Curry and beers afterwards.

2012 Club Dinner
Saturday October 27th (TBC) - Location Rutland Hotel.
Celebrate 2012 in style, buffet, entertainment, prize presentation and raffle.
